Spielkarten Discoverie Deck

In 1584, the spell has been changed forever by a man and a book. Reginald Scot published "The Discoverie of Witchcraft", one of the first books of magic ever written in English. The book showed a superstitious audience that wizards were not witches, but entertainers with effects and intelligent methods. We commemorate this historic moment with a bunch worthy of the legacy of Discoverie.
 
The deck Discoverie is designed in the style of a rare first edition of the Discoverie of Witchcraft. Intricate woodcuts of the book are present on the faces of the cards and aces are decorated with a passage from the book, written in an elegant calligraphic style of the time. The case functions as a "cover" to protect "pages" - cards - inside.
